O'Dell & Schimmel, LLC was founded September 1, 2002. We are a full service middle market Chicago-based certified public accounting firm, with two locations (Chicago, Illinois and Merrillville, Indiana) and nine personnel. We provide traditional accounting, attest, and tax services to clients in various industries, including, but not limited to, manufacturing, distribution, retail, professional services, personal services, automobile dealerships, real estate investment, real estate developers, and medical practices.

O'Dell & Schimmel, LLC participates in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Peer Review Program, one of the AICPA-approved practice-monitoring programs. A firm participating in any of these programs must have an independent review of its accounting and auditing practice every three years. The review is conducted under the auspices of the Illinois CPA Society following standards issued by the AICPA. The objective of the peer review is to determine whether or not a CPA firm has suitable quality control policies and procedures and is complying with them.

O'Dell & Schimmel, LLC has successfully completed a rigorous peer review of its accounting and auditing practice. The reviewer concluded the firm complies with the stringent quality control standards set by the AICPA. O'Dell & Schimmel, LLC's unmodified report indicates that we measure up to the accounting profession's high standards of quality and professionalism. If requested, the firm will provide a copy of the report on the results of the review to all interested parties.
